Brazilian Societies connect to CIS-Net
ECAD connected its database to CIS-Net in October 2007, making the Brazilian repertprie available for consultation
ECAD is an entity that centralises the collecting and distributing processes of 10 Brazilian performing rights organisations, including eight CISAC members:
SOCINPRO, AMAR, UBC, ABRAMUS, SBACEM, SICAM, SADEMBRA and ASSIM. At last count, the ECAD database contained approximately 1.2 million works and the 228,000 authors. The repertories of 47 societies are now available through CIS-Net, with 90 societies using it for musical works documentation.
